It is pure folly to depend on possessions, wisdom or riches, for the deep meaning of life is not to be found in such things, but rather in knowing God. The Lord is the only security for human kind. To know the Lord is also to experience that he alone is gracious, upright and just. The apostle Paul quotes this passage in his letters to the Corinthians (1 Cor 1:31; 2 Cor 10:17)
